Jewelry really is powerful. It is a way to elevate your outfit and make you feel special, wherever you’re heading to! But did you know there is a technique on what you should and should not wear to certain events? The key to finding the right jewelry for any outing lies in understanding the tone and formality of the occasion. I’m so happy to be sharing with you my favorite jewelry to wear at some events and outings! First off - Weddings!
Jewelry and Wedding Bells
Weddings are a favorite event and very formal so most ladies want their statement jewelry to truly shine. The key here is to have your jewelry complement your outfit without overpowering it.
Beautiful Brides - Classic and timeless pieces should be your main focus that enhances the beauty of your wedding dress. Think delicate diamond or pearl earrings, a subtle tiara or hairpin, and a simple bracelet that doesn’t steal the show from the gown’s design. If your dress has intricate details, I don’t recommend overly large or flashy jewelry. Think a simple but stunning diamond necklace or an elegant pair of drop earrings is going to really bring out those gorgeous details on your gown.
Bridesmaids should wear jewelry that is complementary to the bride’s but not enough to outshine hers. Go for simple and elegant pieces, matching earrings and necklaces that go with the dress and theme of the wedding. The theme of the wedding will really determine if you choose more bold or more modern.
Loving Wedding Guests - Avoid anything too flashy or showy, that could steal the show. A delicate light weight bracelet, a pair of simple stud earrings, or a soft pendant necklace would all be great choices. If the wedding has a more formal black-tie dress code, I would go with a statement necklace or chandelier earrings or a bracelet that is simple yet elegant can work well.
