Mistake #2: Over-Accessorizing
We’ve all been there—layering on the rings, stacking bracelets, piling on the necklaces, and before you know it, you’re drowning in a sea of accessories. It’s easy to get carried away, but over-accessorizing can overwhelm your outfit rather than complement it. Yikes! Been there, done that, learned real quick!
Less is often more when it comes to jewelry! The key to great accessorizing is finding the balance that makes a statement without competing with your outfit. Wearing too many bold pieces at once can distract from your overall look, while subtle pieces can bring an outfit together without taking over. Who would’ve thought, right?
How to Avoid It: If you want to wear multiple pieces, try mixing one statement piece with more subtle accessories. For example, a chunky necklace with simple stud earrings, or a big ring paired with delicate bracelets, will add interest without making you feel weighed down and it’ll really make that bold piece pop out, which is what you want to pull attention to. So remember not to overpower your main piece that you want to stand out.
Style Tip: Stick to one or two bold accessories at a time and keep the rest of your jewelry simple. It’s all about balance and it will show!
Once that is established, you want to take care of every piece with love! But how do you do that without ruining the jewelry? I’ll share my secrets with you on the next blog!
